In Language Arts, one learning goal is to organize ideas to write a paragraph using proper conventions. We are learning to use EET, an Expanding Expression Tool, to improve oral language skills and organize our thoughts for writing descriptive paragraphs.
In Reading, our learning goal is to use graphic organizers to demonstrate an understanding of stories we have read. We are working on retelling events from a story in our won words, and are also making connections to the main ideas in the text to our own personal thoughts and experiences.
Students are encouraged to read each night for pleasure. Please look for our new take home reading program that will be starting this week.
