Subtraction with regrouping practice

Students worked in pairs to practice regrouping.

When they complete a certain amount of questions they do an activity from our "Mathletics" choice chart.

We may be inside because of the weather but we are still using our minds and bodies to learn!

Don't let the pigeon drive the bus--learning about persuasive writing

Today we began learning about persuasion. In this story the pigeon wants to drive the bus and tries everything to do so. After reading this story the students took a turn telling the pigeon why or why he shouldn't drive a truck.

We are starting to work on procedural writing

This writing can take the form of instructions or recipes etc...
